Two Inmates Escape from South Fork Forest Camp
 
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 30, 2001
 
Three minimum-custody inmates escaped from South Fork Forest Camp near Tillamook late Sunday night. One returned to camp within a half hour of being discovered missing, two remain at large. The inmates were noted missing during the midnight count of inmates.

Donald Andrew Bennett, 31, is a white male, 6'1" tall, 170 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. He was admitted to prison in 1994 and was due to be released in April 2002. He was serving time from Multnomah County for burglary and Jackson County for assault III.

Jerabie Lee Trevitts, 21, is a white male, 6' tall and 150 lbs. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. He was first admitted to prison November 1998 and was due to be released in March 2004. He was serving time from Multnomah County for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, robbery III and robbery II.
 
Additionally:
 
Matthew Max Webber, 25, was also missing at the midnight count and was found back in his bunk at 12:20 a.m. He was transported to the Tillamook County Jail early this morning. Webber is serving time for Douglas County convictions for assault III, burglary I and two counts of robbery III.
 
South Fork Forest Camp is a minimum-security work camp located in the Tillamook State Forest. It is not fenced. Inmates housed there are assigned to work crews that primarily plant trees and rehabilitate the forest from the devastation of the Tillamook burn in the 1950's.
The Department of Corrections Fugitive Apprehension Unit, Tillamook County Sheriff's office and Oregon State Police are investigating.
