Fugitive Apprehension Unit is seeking two minimum custody inmates

The Oregon Department of Corrections Fugitive Apprehension Unit is seeking information about two minimum custody inmates from Shutter Creek Correctional Institution who walked away from a tree-planting work crew in a forest near Coos Bay. They were discovered missing at 9:45 this morning.
The first imate, Michael Lytsell, 19, was incarcerated for two counts of unauthorized use of motor vehicle, eluding police, forgery and a post-prison supervision sanction from Multnomah County. He is described as a white male with brown hair, hazel eyes, 6´2" tall and weighs 175 lbs. He has multiple tattoos on his bodies including right hand ("mbl"), arms (rip, cross, shawn), right shoulder ("lil thug") and wrists (left: "77," right: "62")He was admitted to prison in September 2001 and his projected release date was May 2003.
The second inmate, Valen Bussell, 19, was convicted in Multnomah County for burglary I and two counts of unauthorized use of motor vehicle and Clackamas County for theft II and unlawful entry of a motor vehicle. He was admtted to prison in August 2001 and his projected release date was September 2002. He is described as a white male, 5´ 6", 170 lbs, with blue eyes and blond hair. He has a pierced left ear, scars on his left elbow and a finger of his left hand, and tattoos on his upper right arm (brick wall, moon, mushroom and tm).
The inmates are believed to be heading to the Portland area. Anyone with information about their whereabouts should call the non-emergency number of their local law enforcement agency or the Department of Corrections Fugitive Apprehension Unit at 503-945-0976.
