Oregon Fugitive Sought in Spokane Area |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: November 8, 2000
The Oregon Department of Corrections is seeking information regarding an inmate who walked away from a work crew near Baker City, Oregon, early Tuesday, November 7.
Inmate Michael Morse, 31, escaped from a work crew at Unity State Park. He was last seen at 9:30 and was noticed missing at 9:45.
Morse was serving 45 months from Washington County, Oregon, for Possession of a Controlled Substance. He is a white male, 6´2, 200 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing Prison Blues denim jeans, a chambray shirt and a denim work jacket.
Leads in the case so far indicate that Michael Morse may be in the Spokane area. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to call 9-1-1, contact their local police, or call Investigator Teri Rice of the Oregon DOC´s Fugitive Apprehension Unit at 503-378-6111.
