Emergency Transportable Housing Advisory Committee
The Board has organized an advisory committee to address access to emergency transportable housing. Access to such housing proved problematic in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and, after verifying and examining the issues involved, the Board has determined that supplementary guidelines are needed. The Emergency Transportable Housing Advisory Committee, which includes representation from disability groups, industry and code groups, and government agencies, will develop recommendations to the Board on tailoring or clarifying coverage of emergency transportable housing in its facility guidelines.
