F30

Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards for Individual Predoctoral MD/PhD Fellows (F30)
Supported by the NIA, NIAAA, NIDA, NIDCD, NIDDK, NIEHS, NIMH, NINDS, and ODS, this program is intended for individuals in combined M.D./Ph.D. fellowship training. Applicants must show potential to become productive, independent, highly trained physician-scientists, including patient-oriented physician-scientists, in scientific mission areas of one or more of the sponsoring NIH entities.

NIDCR Individual Predoctoral Dental Scientist Fellowship
The purpose of the NIDCR individual predoctoral dental scientist fellowship program is to offer an integrated dental and graduate research training program that leads to attainment of both the D.D.S./D.M.D. and Ph.D. (or equivalent) degrees.

NHLBI Individual Predoctoral MD/PhD Fellowship
The NHLBI supports individual predoctoral fellowships for combined MD/PhD training in research areas relevant to the mission of the NHLBI. Applications to the program will be accepted from (a) students currently enrolled in a combined MD/PhD program and (b) current medical or graduate students seeking admission to a combined program that provides research training in areas relevant to the NHLBI mission. Awards to these applicants are contingent on subsequently being enrolled in a combined MD/PhD program.

Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards for Individual Predoctoral Fellowships (F31) to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research
This omnibus NIH program is supported by NCI, NCCAM, NCRR, NEI, NHLBI, NHGRI, NIA, NIAAA, NIAID, NIAMS, NIBIB, NICHD, NIDCD, NIDCR, NIDDK, NIDA, NIEHS, NIGMS, NIMH, NINDS, NINR, and ODS. This program is intended to promote diversity in health-related research by supporting research training leading to the Ph.D. or equivalent research degree, the combined M.D./Ph.D. degree; or another formally combined professional degree and research doctoral degree in biomedical, behavioral, health services, or clinical sciences.

Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards for Individual Predoctoral Fellows (F31)
This fellowship program is supported by the NIA, NIAAA, NIDA, NIDCD, NIDCR, NIMH, NINDS, and ODS. The programs objective is to provide support for promising doctoral candidates (Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent) who will be performing dissertation research and training in scientific health-related fields relevant to the missions of the participating NIH entities.

Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards for Individual Predoctoral Fellowship Training in Complementary and Alternative Medicine (F31)
The purpose of this NCCAM individual predoctoral fellowship is to help ensure that diverse pools of highly trained scientists will be available in adequate numbers and in appropriate research areas to carry out the Nation's biomedical, behavioral and clinical research agendas in complementary and alternative medicine.

Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) for Individual Predoctoral Fellows (F31) in Nursing Research
This NINR program will provide predoctoral training support for doctoral students who propose a research training program and dissertation research that is consistent with the scientific mission of the NINR. NINR is particularly interested in facilitating the progress of students who are in research training programs for recent nursing graduates and students in BSN to PhD programs.

The primary objective of this NCCAM funding opportunity is to help ensure that diverse pools of highly trained scientists will be available in adequate numbers and in appropriate research areas to carry out the Nation’s biomedical, behavioral, and clinical CAM research agendas.

National Research Service Award Postdoctoral Fellowships In Epidemiology, Clinical Trials, and Outcomes Research In Orthopaedic Surgery (F32)

The NIAMS, along with the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF), supports individual postdoctoral fellowships to train physicians with expertise in orthopaedic surgery to supplement that knowledge with training in epidemiology/clinical trials/outcomes research.

National Research Service Award Postdoctoral Fellowships In Epidemiology, Clinical Trials, And Outcomes Research In Skin Diseases(F32)
The NIAMS, along with the American Skin Association (ASA), supports individual postdoctoral fellowships to train physicians with expertise in clinical dermatology to supplement that knowledge with training in epidemiology/clinical trials/outcomes research.

Postdoctoral Training in Research on Aging in Canada (F32)
The central goals of this NIA program are to offer postdoctoral training in research on aging at designated Canadian research institutions and to encourage collaboration between the United States and Canada in identifying and developing postdoctoral-level investigators for careers in research on aging and health.

Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards (NRSA) for Individual Senior Fellows (F33)
This is the NIH Omnibus F33 program supported by NCI, NEI, NHLBI, NHGRI, NIA, NIAAA, NIAID, NIAMS, NICHD, NIDCD, NIDCR, NIEHS, NIGMS, NINDS, NINR, NCCAM, and ODS. The objective of this program is to provide senior fellowship support to experienced scientists who wish to make major changes in the direction of their research careers or who wish to broaden their scientific background by acquiring new research capabilities as independent research investigators in scientific health-related fields relevant to the missions of the participating NIH.
