The Cancer Trends Progress Report, first issued in 2001 as the Cancer Progress Report, summarizes our nation’s progress against cancer in relation to Healthy People 2010 targets set forth by the Department of Health and Human Services. The report includes key measures of progress along the cancer control continuum and uses national trend data to illustrate where advancements have been made

NCI's Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) Web site is the most authoritative source of information on cancer incidence and survival in the United States. SEER data, publications, and resources are available free of charge. The site's new Fast Stats function allows users to obtain charts, graphs, and tables for cancer incidence, mortality, and survival.

This site provides interactive maps, graphs (which are accessible to the blind and visually impaired), text, tables, and figures showing geographic patterns and time trends of cancer death rates for the time period 1950-1994 for more than 40 cancers.

 American Cancer Society Cancer Statistics: http://www.cancer.org/docroot/stt/stt_0.asp.
The American Cancer Society tracks cancer occurrence, including the number of deaths, cases, and how long people survive after diagnosis. ACS also tracks data regarding behaviors that influence the risk of developing cancer (such as tobacco use and certain dietary behaviors) and the use of screening tests (such as mammography, Pap tests, and sigmoidoscopy.)
