Capital Program
About
The division offers a capital grant program that helps public entities replace transit vehicles that do not meet federal condition standards. This helps communities provide general public transit service with vehicles that are safe, appropriately designed for the route and in good condition.

Buying and Selling Vehicles
Use the below links to help determine fair market value.  If the value is over $5,000, you still must follow appropriate disposal procedures.  Following the proper public offer process is important.  Non-profit agencies may not be allowed to sell a vehicle themselves and may have to use DAS Surplus Property to dispose of the vehicle; transportation of the vehicle to Salem is not necessary as DAS sells on Ebay.
