Recognizing the Lingle-Aiona Administration's efforts to increase Hawai`i's energy independence, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) awarded the State of Hawai`i a $500,000 grant that will be combined with $900,000 in private funds.

Maintaining her Administration's focus on investing in critical infrastructure and capital improvement projects, Governor Lingle released $11 million in construction funds to replace field lighting transformers and portions of the metal roof deck at the Aloha Stadium.
