  • UM Awarded $12.5 Million for Research Center at Frontier of Quantum Physics

    The National Science Foundation has awarded the Joint Quantum Institute $12.5 million over five years to create and operate a Physics Frontier Center at the University of Maryland.
  • Maryland Football Defeats Eastern Michigan, 51-24

    Wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey caught a 32-yard touchdown pass and ran twice for 81 yards, part of a prolific offensive showing that carried Maryland past Eastern Michigan 51-24 on Saturday. Morgan Green ran for two touchdowns and Chris Turner threw for 212 yards and two TDs for the Terrapins (3-1), who scored on nine of their 13 possessions.
