I tested a QImaging (www.qimaging.com) Firewire camera and was impressed by how well the ImageJ plugin worked and how full-featured it was. They have ImageJ plugins for Windows and Mac OS 9 and are working on one for Mac OS X. The ImageJ plugin, the Photoshop plugin and their stand-alone capture program all work the same way. "Live" preview at 1300x1000 is sluggish but they are supposed to be working on an option for previewing using 2x2 binning (650x500) with capture at the full 1300x1000 resolution. -wayne
