Hi Manfred,
        I've never handled the zvi format, however I have used a Zeiss confocal
which generates lsm format. This turns out to be a modified TIFF format. We
might hope that ZVI is another modified TIFF in which case the LSM Reader
plugin might work.
(Available on the ImageJ website
http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/plugins/lsm-reader.html). The alternative would
be the free viewer that Zeiss provide (www.zeiss.de/viewer), which appears
to allow export to other formats.

I need to access a series of .zvi images taken with Axiovision software
(Zeiss). Is there a way to open that import format with Imagej?
I have tried the import function but without luck.
