The Friends of Valley Forge

The Friends of Valley Forge is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Valley Forge National Historical Park. In seeking to achieve its mission, the Friends sponsor educational, interpretive, and awareness programs, foster and encourage conservation, and assist in the collection and preservation of historically significant artifacts and structures. The Friends assume this role as a means of support to ensure that Valley Forge will continue to remain a significant historical event and place in our country’s history. You can jump on your bike at the Art Museum in center-city Philadelphia and ride the Schuylkill River Trail 20 miles to Valley Forge, and beyond. The Schuylkill River Trail and numerous connecting trails are constantly expanding, making it easy to walk or bike to the park.
