If you implement one, I would suggest to have a look at: "A file format proposal for chain code-based curve representation" Inesta Quereda JM, Sanchiz Mart JM, Garcia Sevilla P. (Technical report) The report is not online, but I got a paper copy from one of the authors (forgot which one) One of them is here: http://grfia.dlsi.ua.es/members?id=inesta My chain encoder, however is not in the format suggested by the paper above, and I am hoping to change it accordingly (not sure when, though).
