Subject: Dcm_Export (dcmie) question

Hi, Dcm_Export seems to preserve patient name and other identifying data only for DICOM files that were read into ImageJ using Dcm_Import, not for DICOM files read in by other means (like File/Open). We have DICOM files that we can read in successfully--their headers (as displayed by Show Info) and their image contents are correct. We would like to do some minimal processing on them, then write them out into DICOM files and directories keeping at the patient identification part of the headers. Is there any way to do this using the dcmie plugins? Can the property files be used to control this? Are there any other DICOM writing tools we should try to use instead? Suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. Annette
