Then you can open your tiff in Image J select your ROI with the proper tool and in the menu: Analyze > Set measurements... select what do you want to measure from that ROI (mean, stdv, area, etc..) Then pressing the CTRL+M or selecting in the menu Analyze > Measure a window pops-up with the values. If you like to have an histogram of the ROI instead of the mean value press CRTL+H or select Analyze > Histogram on the menu. Pedro
