Subject: Graylevels of 16bit Metamorph stacks
In-Reply-To: <[log in to unmask]>

Dear list, When opening Tiff stacks aquired using metamorph software (.stk files) in ImageJ, the IJ statusbar shows that IJ calculates min and max pixels values. Indeed, looking at the histogram I usually never get 0-4095 but something like 159-4095. My questions: why does IJ calculate min and max of these stacks (I didn't notice this behaviour with other Tiffs) and how can I display the whole range (0-4095). kurt
