Overview:
Gain a working knowledge of the current Immigration and Nationality Act to better understand the proposals for change. You learn the current law as it relates to agencies of enforcement; visa eligibility and procedure; deportation and exclusion charges; the removal proceeding; and types of relief from removal. You review the forms used by the Department of Homeland Security and examine the recent trend of local involvement in immigration law enforcement and proposals for legislative reform.
