We Can!™ Regional Trainings

We Can! conducts regional training events across the country. These meetings are instructional, interactive, and provide networking opportunities to community members concerned about the growing problem of childhood overweight.

The trainings are designed to help a variety of audiences in diverse settings, including schools, community-based organizations, federal agencies, hospitals, local and state health departments, and others.

Participants learn about the We Can program at a regional training event

Participants come from all over the United States and Washington, DC, to better understand how We Can! strengthens efforts to reduce childhood overweight.

Each We Can! training provides participants with the ability to:

  • Learn about the many turn-key, flexible resources available from NIH's We Can! program.
  • Receive curriculum training from national experts on science-based programs that promote healthy lifestyles for parents and youth.
  • Hear from successful We Can! sites and discover innovative ideas for turning on We Can! in your community.
  • Network with others in your region working to prevent childhood overweight.
  • Have the opportunity to sign-up to join in the We Can! movement.
