I wrote a simple plugin (Comment_Writer, attached) that allows you to enter
a comment, which defaults to the current date and time and image name (if
one is open). Save the file to ImageJ's plugins directory and select
Plugins|Compile and Run. The plugin will appear in the Plugins menu after
you restart the program. Hope this helps.
