Subject: Fractal Box Count

Dear group members I am a first time user of ImageJ. I am trying to calculate Fractal Dimensions (FD)of bone micro structure. I am getting different FD values by ImageJ if I change the input "Box sizes" (Tools > Fractal Box count > Box sizes)magnitude and numbers in the program? Can someone suggest how to choose the correct magnitude and numbers of "box sizes" to calculate FD for a given image? I shall be thankful if you can recommend a good book or paper to clarify above? Thanks..
