Subject: register

I found in imagej that the plug in RGB stack merge and register commands automatically seems to register pictures. But it looks like it then inverts them. Cam anyone explain if this is so and how it can be used to make a regular registered picture. How can this feature best be used to make color photos? I made crude color photos of M57 nebula using photoshop. It is posted at http://members.aol.com/kcstarguy/blacksun/photogallery.htm I am interested to know whether image J can do better. I would like to correspond with anyone who uses imagej for astronomical photography and analysis.
