EERE Information Center
The EERE Information Center answers questions on all EERE's products and services (consisting of the 11 technology programs) and refers callers to the most appropriate EERE resources. Industrial callers are eligible for an advanced level of service that includes engineering assistance, research, and software support for plant staff and industrial service providers working on industrial energy savings projects.
With rising energy costs, the benefits of improving plant efficiency are better than ever. Through research and technical assistance on general topics or specific issues, the professional engineers and research librarians at the Information Center can assist you in improving your facility's energy efficiency and profitability while reducing waste and emissions.
The Information Center receives thousands of inquiries each year from all over the country, including calls from industrial plant managers and engineers, energy coordinators, corporate managers, engineering consultants, and others working with industry. Inquiries include:
- Reducing industrial plant energy costs
- Making energy systems (e.g. motor, steam, compressed air, pumping, and process heating) more reliable, cost-effective, and energy-efficient
- Developing and achieving corporate energy management goals that improve industrial profitability and competitiveness
- Selecting energy-efficient equipment
- Developing plans for cost-effective efficiency measures and then gaining management and financial support so that they will be implemented
- Providing information and technical support for the Save Energy Now program, a new initiative to help plants to improve their natural gas efficiency through outreach and on-site assessments
The Information Center can also assist you in determining which of the thousands of resources and opportunities available through the ITP website will best meet your needs.
