Parks with Accessible Camping

There are 120 areas in the National Park System that offer camping opportunities. The following list highlights parks with accessible campgrounds.

Alaska
Denali National Park and Preserve

Arizona
Grand Canyon National Park

Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument

Yosemite National Park

Colorado
Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park

Colorado National Monument
An accessible campsite is available and is reserved for the use of persons with impaired mobility only.

Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve

Rocky Mountain National Park

Florida
Gulf Islands National Seashore  
Two campsites are designated as wheelchair accessible in the Davis Bayou Campground in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

Visitors who have difficulties walking can use the campsites near the restroom at Loop A of the Fort Pickens Campground. Right now, the other loops of the campground are closed. The entire campground will reopen when the Fort Pickens Road is rebuilt in 2009. Visitors can hire a Commercial Use Authorized water taxi or use the land shuttle that will run through December 2008

Four sites in the campground are accessible: sites A-2, A-4, B-11, and B-25. Campground restrooms are accessible.
