Internal Audit
Internal Audit is an independent, objective, assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve the department’s operations.  Internal Audit helps the department accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

Internal Audit provides assurance that controls are adequate to mitigate risks, policies and procedures are being followed throughout the department, processes are efficient, effective and economical, and management is meeting the department’s goals and objectives.

To ensure independence and objectivity, the Internal Audit administrator reports to the director and deputy director of the department.
