As part of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) efforts to both improve the hiring process and support veterans' hiring, Deputy Director Howard Weizmann is seeking to meet with a group of recently hired veterans to learn more about their experience finding and applying for Federal jobs following their military service. Deputy Director Weizmann would like to hear directly from veterans what worked well and what areas may need greater attention from OPM.
We are asking you to identify one newly hired veteran in your agency to participate in this forum. We are asking only that your agency's veteran be someone hired within the past year directly following their completion of a military tour of active duty. Participating veterans will meet at OPM on Wednesday June 11, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. - noon to discuss their experience with the Federal hiring process.
