Inside Transportation for March 2006  

Inside Transportation is a half-hour program designed to help you understand how the King County Department of Transportation serves the public and how to take advantage of the transportation options available to you.  It is a presentation of the King County Department of Transportation Public Affairs Unit. "Inside Transportation" airs on King County Civic Television (KCTV) Tuesday nights at 5 p.m., Thursday nights at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m.

Winter storm damage King County may be through the worst of this winters storms, but some of the damage will be around a while longer.  We'll take a look at some of the damage and learn more about the plan for repairs from Road Services Manager Linda Dougherty.

South Park Bridge recommendation –The King County Road Services Division is recommending the South Park Bridge be replaced with a similar span.  Chat with DOT Director Harold Taniguchi and bridge engineers about the plan to fund and replace the bridge.

Issaquah Highlands Park-and-Ride – The newest park-and-ride lot on the eastside can take 1,000 cars off the road.  And Metro is adding the new Route 218 to take commuters directly from the lot to downtown Seattle.
