The Environmental
Management Systems
(EMS) Work Group is
a subcommittee to
the USDA Hazardous
Materials Management
Council. The EMS Work
Group is responsible
for developing policy
proposals for the
full Department-wide
implementation of
EMS as the primary
management approach
for addressing environmental
aspects of agency
operations, including
energy and transportation.
The Work Group is
also responsible for
developing policy
proposals in pollution
prevention and improved
management of hazardous
chemicals.
