NASA/LaRC Direct Connect Supersonic Combustion Test Facility (DCSCTF) has a requirement for ten (10) PSID differential/1000 PSI line pressure, ten (10) oxygen service 900 PSIA, five (5) 500 PSIA absolute, five (5) 2000 PSIA absolute, and five (5) 1000 PSIA absolute transducers to upgrade its suite of pressure sensing transducers to improve the accuracy of measurement, reduce data scatter, and improve the instrumentation reliability. NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from Druck, Inc., who is the only known source that can provide the required accuracy, repeatability, and hysteresis over the ranges and oxygen service ability. It would take substantial duplication of resources and time for another source to provide similar pressure transducers, and this additional expense is not expected to be recovered through competition.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 7/07/2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
