People: Livezey

As the Division Chief, Dr. Livezey provides overall management and strategic planning vision and initiates and maintains plans, policies, and procedures for NWS climate services. He leads in the establishment of climate service requirements and priorities by exploring various operational climate forecast service scenarios, analyzing feasibility (e.g., consistency with current and planned architectures and costs), and making recommendations to appropriate members of the climate community. Bob leads the development, execution, and implementation plans to meet climate servies requirements and coordinates and manages NWS-sponsored external climate service activities and serves as the NWS liaison for various national and international climate panels and working groups.
