This course is designed to increase proficiency in speaking, writing, reading and listening to French. Intended for participants who have recently completed at least one year of college-level French, this course presents a broader understanding of French culture. ACE College Credit Recommendation Service reviewed. |

Objective
To expand vocabulary, consolidate grammar and develop greater proficiency in all skills including translation and presentation.
Learning Outcome
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to demonstrate greater proficiency in speaking, writing, reading, and translating and a broader understanding of French culture.
Instruction
Major topics covered in the course include
- passé simple, composition, present tense, imperative, personal pronouns;
- nouns and articles.
- This course will also include readings on well-known French men and women in history, along with additional French culture.
Methods of instruction include lecture, discussion, classroom exercises, presentations, tests, and final examination.
