Overview:
Learn the overall process of publication, from story idea to printing. Explore new technologies affecting editing and print production in today's publishing industry. Master the various processes that produce a completed publication: form and organization, grammar, rhetoric, style (editorial and mechanical), copy marking, fitting and proofreading. Front matter (tables, charts and illustrations) and back matter (indexes, bibliographies and notes) are also covered.

This course is part of the Certificate of Accomplishment in Administrative Procedures and the Certificate of Accomplishment in Editorial Practices.
