Title: Strategic Planning Meeting

Abstract: The COPD Coalition will take the next steps to create a multi-year action plan based on the needs expressed by Coalition members and the findings of the RCA. Your experience, talent and vision are needed to help move the COPD Coalition forward. Please join us for a day of discussion and planning. By the end of the Conference we expect to have plans for developing relationships, awareness and advocacy.

Title: 2009 Talecris Respiratory Rally

Abstract: This special COPD education day is open to all those affected by lung disease, their families, and caregivers to learn more about chronic lung disease and ways to better manage it. The day is full of inspirational messages, sound medical education, free medical screenings, and exhibits. It will also include a buffet breakfast and a wonderful lunch designed with the nutritional needs of the respiratory patient in mind. A comfortable treatment room will be available; fun entertainment and door prizes are lined up too.

Title: Respiratory Rally

Abstract: The American Lung Association of California will host the first Respiratory Rally in Orange County, a one day conference on COPD for patients and their care givers. This Rally will take place next October 15th, 2008 at Delhi Center located in the city of Santa Ana. The topics of the conference will be Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Latest Medications and Research, COPD and Exercise and Pulmonary Fibrosis. Lunch will be provided to all participants. Title: Respiratory Rally

Abstract: San Diego’s Respiratory Rally will take place November 11, 2008 at Liberty Station (formerly Naval Training Center) from 10-2pm. The Respiratory Rally is a one-day conference for people, and the caregivers of those with lung disease, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, chronic bronchitis, asthma and alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. The program is planned and implemented by a team of health professionals, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists and respiratory therapists.
