Program Announcement No. SSA-OPDR-03-2

As authorized under section 1110 of the Social Security Act, the Social Security Administration (SSA) seeks applications from public and private organizations, including non-profit, profit-making, and faith-based organizations to demonstrate methods to improve the quality of assistance that medical and social service providers give to homeless individuals who file claims for Social Security benefits. 

 Awards made in response to this announcement will be in the form of cooperative agreements.  A cooperative agreement, as distinct from a grant, anticipates substantial involvement between SSA and the grantee.
