This symposium will celebrate the scientific achievements of James A. Ferretti and his 40 years of service to the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Ferretti has pioneered the application of pulsed, Fourier Transform Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Techniques to the study of a wide range of chemical and biological systems of medical importance. He exemplifies the success of a multidisciplinary approach to further our understanding of molecular events in embryonic development.
