  Here is a list of King County Department of Transportation projects that may disrupt traffic and travel in the coming weeks:

August 15, 2005

Tolt Bridge The Tolt Bridge on Northeast Tolt Hill Road over the Snoqualmie River will be closed for bridge deck repairs from 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1 through Thursday, Aug. 18. Motorists can detour via State Route 203 and State Route 202.

Novelty Hill Road Crews will be working on a project to improve the intersection of Novelty Hill Road and West Snoqualmie Road from Monday, Aug. 1 through Friday, Sept. 16. The roadway will remain open during construction, but there will be intermittent lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Woodinville-Duvall Road Crews will be doing nighttime paving on a section of the Woodinville-Duvall Road between 204th Avenue Northeast and West Snoqualmie River Road for seven nights in August. The work will be done between 8:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. to avoid traffic delays, and should be completed by the end of August.

216th Avenue Northeast Crews will be replacing a culvert on Struve Creek, which will close 216th Avenue Northeast between Northeast 146th Place and Northeast 150th Street from 6 a.m. Monday, July 18 through Friday, Sept. 2. Motorists can detour to the south via Northeast 133rd Street and Avondale Road, and to the north via Northeast 165th Street, 212th Avenue Northeast and the Woodinville-Duvall Road.

Northeast 116th StreetNortheast 116th Street near the 60 Acres Soccer Park will be closed for up to 18 months starting Wednesday, July 13 while the York Bridge over the Sammamish Slough is rebuilt.

SE 416th Street A section of Southeast 416th Street near Enumclaw will be closed from Monday, Aug. 15 to Monday, Aug. 29, while crews replace a water main. The road will be shut down between 228th Avenue Southeast and 236th Avenue Southeast.

148th Avenue Northeast near Hollywood Hills- Work to replace a failing culvert on 148th Avenue Northeast near Northeast 155th Place starts Tuesday, July 5 at 7 a.m. and lasts through August. There will be intermittent lane closures.

Southeast 196th DriveSoutheast 196th Drive where it crosses Honey Creek near Shady Lake will be closed until Monday, Aug. 15 at 7 p.m. to replace a culvert. Motorists can detour via Petrovitsky Road and Southeast 192nd Drive.

Elliott Bridge detour - Final work on the new Elliott Bridge east of Renton over the Cedar River has closed 154th Place Southeast from the top of the hill at Southeast 142nd Place to State Route 169 (Maple Valley Highway) Jones Road will also be closed at the intersection with 154th Place Southeast. During the closure, motorists can detour via: 156th Avenue Southeast; Southeast 128th Street; North Third Street; Sunset Boulevard; and SR 169. The complete detour is approximately eight miles long, and is expected to be in effect through August.

Kelly Road Northeast - Kelly Road Northeast just east of the intersection with Big Rock Road will remain closed through October while Harris Creek Bridge is being replaced. Motorists can detour via 322nd Avenue Northeast, Northeast 139th Street, Odell Road, and Big Rock Road.

Meadowbrook Bridge - The King County Road Services Division has closed the historic Meadowbrook Bridge through October for a major rehabilitation. The bridge is near the city of Snoqualmie on Meadowbrook Way Southeast over the Snoqualmie River. Two detour routes are available: either via State Route 202 or along Reinig Road/428th Avenue Southeast.

South 277th Street, between Auburn and Kent - Motorists may experience periodic traffic disruptions on South 277th Street between the West Valley Highway and 72nd Avenue South through October 2005 as a result of a major reconstruction project.
