Here is a list of King County Department of Transportation projects that may disrupt traffic and travel in the coming weeks:

August 7, 2006

Reinig Road – A section of Reinig Road north of Snoqualmie and North Bend is closed through Sept. 1, while the King County Road Services Division replaces a failing culvert underneath the roadway. Because there are few cross streets along Reinig Road, the detour will be lengthy. Motorists can detour via Meadowbrook Way Southeast, State Route 202, and 428th Avenue Southeast.

111th Avenue SW – A three-block section of 111th Avenue Southwest on Vashon Island is closed for six weeks to install a new culvert where Judd Creek crosses underneath the roadway. The road will be closed from Southwest 209th Place to Southwest 212th Place through Friday, Aug. 25. Motorists can detour via Southwest 204th Street, Vashon Highway and Southwest 216th Street.

Northeast Cherry Valley Road Northeast Cherry Valley Road is closed until September so that crews can replace four failing culverts under the roadway. The road will be closed from the 28700 block to the 29300 block. Motorists can detour via State Route 203, Northeast Big Rock Road and Kelly Road Northeast.

Northeast 116th Street The York Bridge on Northeast 116th Street near the 60 Acres Soccer Park will be closed until fall, while the bridge over the Sammamish River is rebuilt. Motorists can detour via 154th Place Southeast, Northeast 124th Street, and Willows Road. The river under the work area is also closed.

Weather-related road closures can be found online.
