 Transportation Today
Here is a list of King County Department of Transportation projects that may disrupt traffic and travel in the coming weeks:

August 4, 2008

Issaquah-Hobart Road – Repaving of Issaquah-Hobart Road is scheduled to last through Aug. 15 depending on weather. The roadway will be repaved between Southeast May Valley Road and State Route 18, and significant traffic delays may occur. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times, and vehicles will be led through the work zone by a pilot car. Motorists may want to use alternate routes or travel before 8 a.m. and after 4:30 p.m.

West Snoqualmie River Road – Replacement of a short-span bridge will close West Snoqualmie River Road near Jubilee Farms, north of Fall City and southwest of Carnation through September. Motorists can detour via Tolt Hill Road, State Route 203 and State Route 202.

Southeast 304th Street – Construction of a roundabout at Southeast 304th Street and 124th Avenue Southeast east of Auburn will result in the closure of 304th Street on either side of the intersection through August, and there will be intermittent closures of 124th Avenue.

Kelly Road Northeast – Near Duvall, Kelly Road from Northeast Stossel Creek Way to Lake Joy Road will be closed through Aug. 9. Motorists can detour via Northeast Big Rock Road, State Route 203, and Northeast Cherry Valley Road.

SE Green Valley Road – One lane of Southeast Green Valley Road will be closed at the Patton Bridge until further notice. A temporary traffic signal is in place to control traffic flow over the bridge. Or, motorists can detour via Southeast Green Valley Road, Auburn-Black Diamond Road, and 218th Avenue Southeast.

Northeast 106th Street – Northeast of Redmond, one lane of Northeast 106th Street east of Avondale Road will be closed until further notice due to damage to a small bridge.

North Fork Road Southeast – Wagners Bridge, which carries North Fork Road Southeast over the North Fork of the Snoqualmie River about 10 miles northeast of North Bend, is closed for construction. The road is a popular access point to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness for hikers and recreationalists. While the bridge is closed, motorists can purchase a vehicle access permit into the backcountry, or access the Alpine Lakes area on Forest Service roads from the north and east.

Weather-related road closures can be found online.
