Lederman Science Education Center was dedicated at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory by the Secretary of Energy as a dynamic public center for programs in support of science, mathematics, engineering, and technology (science) education. The Center's mission is to strengthen teaching and learning in primary and secondary schools by using resources of Fermilab to improve education in science in support of national education goals.

IN FY93...

40,000 students participated in the Center's Programs

13,000 students visited the Center

9,000 teachers participated in Center programs

300 educators and scientists provided program leadership

30 people, 10 full-time and 20 part-time, are employed at the Center

THE CENTER'S PROGRAMS INCLUDE...
