          SUBJECT:  First Responder Equipment Purchase Program, Marine Corps Systems Command

I am pleased to take this opportunity to provide ODP equipment grant recipients with
information about the First Responder Equipment Purchase Program, Marine Corps Systems
Command (MCSC).  Please find enclosed detailed information regarding procurement procedures
and contact listings for this important program.  This joint effort between the Office for State and
Local Domestic Preparedness Support (ODP) and MCSC provides an alternative method of
equipment procurement for ODP grantees.  Through this program, State, county, and
municipal grant recipients can procure basic defensive equipment for first responders through
MCSC prime vendors, potentially saving valuable time and money compared to typical
procurement methods.  We highly encourage all grantees to review the enclosed material and
contact an MCSC representative to discuss the numerous benefits of this program.
