Issue: Due to the conservative and patriarchal system in Guatemalan society, most gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders (GLBT) have been marginalized towards a subworld that the rest of the people mitify. It's very important to give a safe pleace where GLBT community can feel worthy and help to modify, in the minds of everyone, this deformed image of the sexual minorities. Descritption: Since 1995, OASIS has carried out a program that promote activities for individual and collective devenlopment of GLBT, through the culture, arts, sciences and sport activities that make feeling of belonging LGBT whithin a community, also the enlarge of the social nucleus is important to be able to get this goal. Results: Although a relative success within the activities for the diverse populations has been atended, it is important to give to follow up to a system of evaluation and monitoring to see if they correspond to the objectives of the project. We had identify an answer that has not been able to fulfill is the referring one to the human rights, that are an existing necessity within the GLBT community, but we are trying to facilitate the discussion of this item and others like respect, religion, gender, sexuality and others to promote concrete actions.
