Join us for Veterans' Adaptive Activities Day!
On Friday, October 3, 2008, the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs and the Chicago Park District will host “Veterans’ Adaptive Activities Day” at Northerly Island in Chicago from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM. This free event gives Veterans with disabilities the opportunity to try a wide variety of sports equipment with varying levels of activity with adaptive fitness specialists from across the region. The day includes food, music, and adaptive activities such table games, golf, handcycling, rowing, tennis, wheelchair basketball, football, softball and more. All Veterans and their families are welcome to attend.
