On January 22-24, the US Commercial Service - Beijing participated in Stadia & Arena Infrasport: 2003 at the China World Trade Center in Beijing. The event was the show's debut in China, and focused on the construction of Olympic stadiums for the Beijing 2008 Olympics.

CS Beijing supported the nine US companies exhibiting at the show with counseling and market research, in addition to a pre-show briefing by Commercial Minister Counselor Lee Boam. Traffic at the US Commercial Service booth was steady, where CS Beijing staff distributed Chinese language CS marketing materials to potential buyers, agents and distributors. CS Beijing will be following up with show participants, and expects to report further success.

In addition to the exhibition, many US companies made presentations at the conference, including HOK, Avaya, Ungerboeck Systems International and Village Planning Group.
