Acquisition Continuing Education Program

Acquisition professionals are required to earn 80 continuous learning points (CLPs) of skills currency training every two years beginning October 1, 2007 to maintain a FAC-C. A FAC-C will expire if the 80 CLPs are not earned every two years and can revoke or modify a warrant if this condition is not met. Administration of Contractor Held Property
This training course is designed to teach the fundamentals of administering government-owned personal property to be used by or placed in the custody of contractors. Property administration responsibilities of the government and property management responsibilities and functions of the contractor are covered from award of the contract to disposal and contract closeout.

Administration of Cost-Reimbursement Contracts
This specialized training course focuses on the unique demands of administering cost-reimbursement contracts for services, supplies, and research and development. Prior to enrolling in this training course, students should understand basic federal contracting principles and procedures.

Construction Contracting
In this assignment-specific training course, students will gain in-depth knowledge and skills necessary to contract for federal government construction from acquisition planning through contract closeout.

Contract Claims
This training course provides both contracting and program personnel with knowledge and skills necessary to recognize the legal and practical implications of government contract claims.

Federal Real Property Leasing
This introductory training course is designed for space managers, realty specialists, and contracting personnel. It covers leasing procedures for use by both GSA and other agencies that perform leasing under GSA-delegated authority. The leasing process from space planning to termination is discussed. This is one of the courses that satisfy mandatory training requirements to qualify for a leasing warrant

Performance Based Acquisition
Contracting personnel who work with program officials to plan, award, and administer performance-based service contracts will benefit from this training course. The training course addresses the unique aspects of acquiring services and embodies the 7 Steps to Performance-Based Services Acquisition.

Source Selection
This course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to make sound source selection decisions using negotiated contracting procedures as prescribed in the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 15. Upon successful completion of course, students will be able to: plan a source selection, develop evaluation factors, evaluate proposals, establish an appropriate competitive range, and make the source selection and award decisions.
