Massachusetts Incentives and Laws
Last Updated October 2007
The Massachusetts legislature meets continuously with new sessions starting in early January. The governor must sign or veto legislation within 10 days after transmittal (except Sundays) or it becomes law without signature. However, if transmittal occurs with fewer than 10 days left in the session, failure of the governor to act results in pocket veto.
Massachusetts is the home of the Massachusetts Clean Cities Coalition (www.mass.gov/doer/cleancit/cleancit.htm). Coordinator contact information is listed in the Points of Contact section.
