Army National Guard on Search and Rescue Mission
The 1042nd Medical Air Ambulance Company - Army National Guard will dispatch an OH-58 helicopter at approximately 2 p.m. this afternoon. The crew is on a search and rescue mission, six miles east of Roseburg, for a 25-year-old missing female hiker. The female has been missing for 48 hours now. Her condition is unknown.
The 1042nd Medical Air Ambulance Company is a Salem-based unit that has assisted civil authorities throughout the Northwest in various missions and capacities.
