Theresa C. Bertucci was named Deputy Assistant Secretary for Management for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in April 2006. In this role she oversees key support functions including the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer, the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity, the Office of the Chief Information Officer, the Office of Training, and the Student and Exchange Visitor Program.
Ms. Bertucci joined the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Transportation Security Administration in July, 2004 as Acting Deputy Chief of Staff and held several leadership positions, including Assistant Administrator for Intermodal Programs, Chairperson of the Professional Review Board and Acting Chief of Staff and Deputy Assistant Administrator in the Office of Human Capital, where she lead the agency’s reorganization efforts.
Before joining DHS, Ms. Bertucci spent 27 years with the Department of Justice (DOJ), filling a wide range of positions from a GS-4 to a Senior Executive Service position. While at DOJ, Ms. Bertucci worked in the Executive Office for United States Attorneys for 21 years, her last position as Deputy Director, where she oversaw the organization’s chief financial officer, chief information officer and chief operating officer, supporting the Offices of the United States Attorneys in key management areas to include personnel; physical and information security; acquisitions management; human resources; and the employee assistance program.
Ms. Bertucci is a native of Brooklyn, New York. She is married and has two children.
