Or Air National Guard F-15s to do a flyover at Camp Rosenbaum on the Oregon Coast Tuesday July 22

On Tuesday, July 22 at approximately 12:45 p.m., two F-15 Eagles from the 142nd Fighter Wing in Portland will do several passes over the Camp Rilea Training Site as part of their training mission. In addition, a Coast Guard training demonstration will be held at 7:15 p.m. on the same day at Sunset Beach. Both training missions will be in collaboration with the 38th Annual Camp Rosenbaum.

Organized by volunteers from the Oregon National Guard, Housing Authorities of Oregon and Southwest Washington and public safety organizations throughout Oregon, the camp hosts approximately 160 at-risk youth, ages 9-11 for a week on Oregon's picturesque northern coast.

The nationally-recognized Camp Rosenbaum is a model for other states' youth programs. Children who attend the camp are taught the importance of staying in school, avoiding drugs, team-building and good citizenship, all the while instilled with hope for a better future for themselves and their families. Overseeing the camp is The Rosenbaum Foundation—a non-profit organization chartered with helping Oregon's youth since 1968.

All those who are interested in visiting Camp Rosenbaum on Wednesday, July 23 for the Very Important Guests Day (V.I.G. Day) are encouraged to contact Lt. Col. Donna Prigmore at 503-861-4060.

Throughout the week, organizers and counselors at the camp will be available for media interviews.
