Oregon Army National Guard to hold mobilization ceremony today for the Embedded Training Team
 
Today the official mobilization ceremony will be held at the Anderson Readiness Center, 3225 State St. NE, in Salem, Oregon at 2 p.m. Family, friends and media are invited to attend this ceremony to show their support for these soldiers on the upcoming deployment.

Sixteen members of the 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team will travel to Ft. Riley, Kansas for predeployment training prior to their deployment to Afghanistan. They will be members of the Embedded Training Team who will mentor and train the Afghan National Army. The Team will be lead by Lt. Col. Keith Ensley who previously commanded the 1st Battalion, 186th Infantry Battalion headquartered in Ashland, Ore.

The official party for this ceremony will be Governor Ted Kulongoski, Maj. Gen. Raymond Rees, The Adjutant General of the Oregon National Guard, Jeff Merkley, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Peter Courtney, President of the Senate and Brigadier General Raymond C. Byrne Jr., Assistant Adjutant General, Army.

The length of this deployment is not to exceed 400 days. Following is a list of these soldiers and their hometowns.
