Oregon Guards contributions to Hurricane Katrina Support Operations
 
The main body of the 1186th Military Police Company, Oregon Army National Guard and the Air National Guard Security Police and the augmentees from the 41st Brigade Combat Team and the 3rd Battalion, 116th Cavalry will depart from the Portland Air National Guard Base on Saturday 3 September, 2005. The first group will depart at 9 a.m. with the second group leaving at 9:30 a.m. Interested media need to be at the Jackson Armory located at the corner of Cornfoot Road and Carey St. at 7 a.m. to be allowed on the flight line. Please contact the Public Affairs Staff for information.
 
A situation report on the arrival of the advance party from the 1186th that departed today, the transport of the main body and the call up of the 41st Brigade Combat Team will be provided in front of the Jackson Armory at 11 a.m. tomorrow.
 
Major General Raymond F. Rees, The Adjutant General of the Oregon National Guard will be on site at the Jackson Armory at 12:00 noon tomorrow to answer any questions and respond to this state active duty callup of National Guard Troops in support of Hurricane Katrina Support Operations.
