Advisory: Oregon Army National Guard Open House in Salem

Come see your Oregon Army National Guard in action at the Army Aviation Support Facility at McNary Field in Salem! Visit the open house on Armed Forces Day, May 21, from noon to 4 p.m. There'll be food, fun and awesome displays and demonstrations of state of the art military equipment.

Get up close to the UH-60 Blackhawk -- the legendary helicopter used by the Oregon Army National Guard for dramatic rescues, searches for missing people, and for fighting forest fires. You'll also see the OH-58 Kiowa -- an advanced command and control airframe that also provides reconnaissance and light attack and defensive capabilities.

The Oregon Army National Guard is an integral member of Oregon's emergency response -- our citizen-soldiers are ready and reliable to answer the call anytime, anywhere.

Don't miss this great opportunity to meet hometown heroes, see their equipment, and learn about the mission first-hand. Parking is available at the Army Aviation Support Facility at 1921 Turner Road in Salem. Don't miss it!
